After success with F500 companies such as Revlon and Gucci, focusing on the consumer products industry, I launched a chain of computer stores, then was a principal in taking a software company public. I joined Management Recruiters International in 1986 as a recruiter where I was their National Rookie of the year. Subsequent to that, I ran my own retained search and consulting/coaching firm, Vick & Associates, which I still maintain. I am the co-author of two books, “Linkedin For Recruiting” and “Big Billers”, profiling the recruitment industries million dollar recruiters or Big Billers. In addition to creating an applicant tracking system, SOLO, which became a company I sold, I launched Recruiters OnLine Network, or RON, a top 100 site and additional web properties focused on recruitment and employment. I sold my web and other companies in 2010.

I was a founder and board member of the Pinnacle Society recognizing achievement in the staffing industry, a national speaker for the National Association of Personnel Consultants (NAPS), served on the Board of Directors of the Texas Association of Personnel Services (TAPS), was an officer with the Metroplex Association of Personnel Services (MAPS) and a founder of the local Dallas Independent Recruiters Group (IRG) which is now named ESOA or Executive Search Owners Association. I am an active speaker and writer on career issues, recruiting trends and employment technology.
