A. Bernard Frechtman is the pre-eminent attorney in the staffing industry with over 50 years experience. He is the author of six books on staffing industry law. His latest, Staffing Industry Law: A Guide for the Personnel Professional, at 531 pages is the most comprehensive ever published. He has also authored hundreds of articles that have appeared in trade association newsletters and in the Fordyce Letter and Staff Digest. As a lobbyist for staffing industry interests he is responsible for the changes in the licensing laws affecting recruiters in 20 states. An experienced litigator he has tried cases involving the theft of trade secrets, fee controversies, tortuous interference with contractual relations, employment discrimination and the enforcement of restrictive covenants. Many of his cases resulted in decisions that established precedents that have been cited by other attorneys and judges. He has also lectured to association groups throughout the United States. His experience includes the laws relating to franchising and he has represented many of the leading staffing industry franchisors. In addition he has been responsible for taking several staffing industry companies public. The National Association of Personnel Services recognized him as the first honoree in its Hall of Fame.
